Are the new site notices correct?

A writer from Canterbrook asks:

"The current site notices in our estate have no reference to the application number as previous notices did. Do you know if this is correct procedure?"

Quite honestly, I do not. I'll check with the Residents Association.

I have checked with a friend and the site notices do not need to have the Planning Application numbers on them. When the Site Notices are put in place, and the copy of the newspaper article is also in place only then can the Proposed Developer lodge their application with the Planning Department. Once the Planning Office have checked over the file and an engineer has checked the site notices are in place and that everything that is needed is in the file, only then can the file be assigned a planning application number.
